謝謝主辦單位來我的網誌留言。似乎台灣人或其它外地人，若要參與全場的活動，費用的確不便宜。其時我以為即使台灣的電子音樂研究者、或學生，若沒有適當的管道申請經費補助，大概也無法自費參與。但我必須承認主辦單位的確請了很多名家來，可見其經營之用心。台灣的一年一度的「台北數位藝術節」或電子音樂的「WOCMAT」都無法有這麼大氣魄，當然主要還是礙於經費不足。
至於外地人的註冊費昂貴，我自己猜測應該是主辦單位並不希望有太多外地人的湧入，這種情況，不知情的台灣人大概無法理解，根據我的朋友新加坡作曲家何仲實先生告訴我，去年中央音樂學院辦的電子音樂節上，當他在做現場演講時，會議廳都是爆滿的，其實每場演講者的演講都是爆滿的，他很難相信，我也很驚訝。根據我的經驗，即使在美國的SEAMUS電子音樂年會，也沒有這種盛況。台灣的電子音樂或現代音樂活動，聽眾能做滿一半以上，就已經很不簡單了，我後來也瞭解有些人其實還是使用免費的入場卷進入的，且台灣觀眾中的多數人其實是被音樂系的老師強迫去的，本身並沒有參與的熱情。
兩岸的學生、觀眾們，對於音樂學術的熱衷度，或許還是有很大的差異?
