「隻手之聲 II 」將於 12 月 28 日發表於國家戲劇院實驗劇場 (12/18)

我的第一個公開發表的行動裝置互動音樂作品將於 12 月 28 日發表於國家戲劇院實驗劇場。此作品延續2008年開始而未完成的視訊偵測與互動音樂系統「隻手之聲」而來。原來的設計為透過影像偵測來觸發各種即時音訊合成系統，但當時考量影像偵測受到光源影響所產生的不穩定性，因此只把這個實驗性的系統作成一個簡單的 DEMO，而未將之進一步的發展。

此次則因為近幾年互動科技上的進步，而得以採用更具穩定性的技術，配合 cue 點的設計，以及新的聲音合成技術，以七分鐘的左右的即興表演為目標，將前一個互動聲音系統轉成以 iphone 來控制的互動聲音系統。原先本來嘗試以 Leap Motion 進行，但穩定度不足，只好放棄此念頭。目前則以 iphone 透過 osc 與 wifi 來控制電腦中的 Max/MSP。因為時間倉促，因此也無暇設計影像的部分，但因為 iphone 是無線的，在視覺上的表演動作，應該是清楚可見，或許可彌補視覺上的立即性之不足。雖然這項技術已經不足為奇，但在聲音設計的部分，我認為應該還算有趣。歡迎大家出席此次音樂會。

電子音樂新作「航向海洋」將發表於 WOCMAT 2013 (12/14)

我的電子音樂新作 Sailing towards the Sea 將於 12 月 14 日發表於一年一度的「電腦音樂與音訊科技研討會」(WOCMAT ) 。

本作品旨在透過電子音樂的技法探索鈸的音色變化之可能性，並藉此描述一個幻想中朝向海洋航行之旅內心所聽到的音景。此作品所使用的素材主要來自琴弓摩擦吊鈸所產生的泛音，並透過粒子化合成、Ring Modulation、殘響、延遲效果而達成聲音變形的目的。此作品開始於較輕薄的織度，使用透過粒子化及 Ring Modulation 技術處理過的鈸的泛音為主要素材。音樂後來累積成較為厚重的織度，藉此描述暴風雨中巨浪翻騰的海洋，並且逐步增快其節奏步調，進而引至全曲的高潮，最後再以淡出的方式結束。

電子音樂新作《山中傳說》發表於「大武山森林音樂會」(10/19)

我的電子音樂新作《山中傳說》受邀發表於 2013 大武山秋之頌森林音樂會。此次音樂會為屏東縣原住民部落發展協會所主辦，作品以原住民相關主題進行創作。

電子音樂新作《山中傳說》旨在探索原住民樂器轉化成電子數位音景之可能性，主要藉由口簧琴等較具音色特殊性之原住民樂器及鼓聲作為聲音來源，透過數位音訊處理的技術，包括粒子化合成、數位取樣技術、濾波器、ring modulation、聲音拉長等處理，將原本的聲音予以變形或改變節奏，並依照音樂張力消長的美學原則，將之堆疊或重組，建構一個新的數位音景與音樂結構，以此表現原住民文化中祭典儀式的神祕色彩。

新作客家聲樂作品首演於國家戲劇院實驗劇場 (7/20)

我的新作「南山池」（給女高音與互動電腦音樂系統）於 7月20日首演於國家戲劇院實驗劇場。

作品名稱：南山池

樂曲長度：8 分鐘

編制：給女高音與互動電腦音樂系統

樂曲解說：此曲採用閩西客家詩人梁藻的作品《南山》為歌詞：「翡翠吹翻荷帶雨，鷺鷲飛破竹林煙。時沽村酒臨軒酌，擬摘新葉靠石煎」。人聲部分以五聲音階為音高控制的主要準則，搭配唸誦與吟唱，配合互動電腦音樂系統的運用，注重人聲與互動系統結合所產生的特殊織度、空間感、與空靈的氛圍。主要使用的即時效果器包含殘響、粒子化特效、延遲、合音器等，藉此傳達一種遺世拔俗、渾然自得的歌詞意境。

給薩克斯風的互動音樂 Moth and Flame 互動音樂作品於美國首演 (1/25, 2/16)

此次演出是受到 Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois 的 Randall Hall (http://www.randallhall.net/index.html ) 教授的邀稿所創作的 Moth and Flame (for alto saxophone) 互動音樂作品。分兩次演出於美國紐約：

互動舞蹈表演（1/10）

本週四與台藝大合作的跨領域舞蹈表演「思、想、起」將首次於北部地區演出，雖然表演場地不是很大，但此次的表演，除了「思、想、起」之外，尚有另外兩個我未參與的作品，都非常精彩，且雅俗共賞，歡迎大家前往觀賞。

另外，「思、想、起」作品中，可以聽到我的數位編曲的作品，雖然基於舞者動作所控制的「互動音樂」系統之五聲音階調式固定不變的考量（來自《思想起》民謠的旋律音），因此背景的曲子不作任何移調，但我仍嘗試使用交錯的節奏，配合數位管弦樂的音響堆疊，讓曲子在九分鐘的長度之下，仍能保有一定的趣味。雖然自己在音樂學術圈內大部分都是寫學院派無調性的實驗作品，但為了配合不同的場域，這首作品則是不折不扣的調性作品，以迎合更多大眾的喜好為目的的配樂。當然我自己會要求一定精緻度，至少所有的數位管弦樂音色與表情，都是精心雕琢過的，與真實樂器相較之下，逼真度接近百分之九十。因此也歡迎對數位音樂有興趣者前往聆聽。
